About Us

In 2007, a need for a college age group was noticed at Sycamore Church of Christ. With the oversight of the elders and deacons, Servants of Christ was born. After a short time, it became apparent there was a need for a campus minister. In the Fall of 2008, Justin Burleson was hired. Student interns were also added to aid in Bible studies, devotionals, and mission trips. By spring of 2010, SOC was again without a campus minister. In May 2010, Scott Jefcoat was hired to be the new campus minister of SOC. With the knowledge that there was a lot of work to be done, Scott took the time to get to know every student and became part of the family. With improved organization and a fresh jump start, SOC has continued to grow in attendance, companionship, and faith.

Today, the SOC is made up of approximately 100 college age students. Many of the regular activities we host/participate in include, but are not limited to:
